(KMSP) - From rain to snow to sleet to thunder and lightning, Minnesotans saw their fair share of weird weather this morning.
The National Weather Service reported up to six inches of snow in the western part of the state, near Madison, Minn., 1.5 inches near St. Cloud and approximately 0.7 inches near the MSP Airport in the metro.
The weather caused a number of accidents on the roads during the morning commute. The Minnesota State Patrol reported 17 crashes and 22 vehicle off-roads in west central and northwestern Minnesota and 20 crashes and 19 vehicle off-roads in the St. Cloud area.
