Police in Crystal, Minn. escort scooter-riding Santa through town

-
Police officers in Crystal, Minn. say they were involved in a "low-speed pursuit" over the weekend with a scooter-driving Santa Claus.

"Thankfully, they were able to keep him boxed in, and guided him safely into the Community Center parking lot," a post by the Crystal Police Department on Facebook says.

But Santa hadn't broken the law, the officers were guiding him to the Crystal Community Center for the city's annual Winterfest.

It's going to be hard to top yesterday's penguin being arrested photo - but we're going to try. Our officers were involved in a low speed pursuit through Crystal at approximately 1000 hours on 12/05/15. Thankfully, they were able to keep him boxed in, and guided him safely into the Community Center parking lot. Oddly, it appeared as if people were cheering his arrival - but we're going to pretend it was for us. Happy Holidays Crystal
