MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KMSP) - Anwatin Middle School in Minneapolis was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning around 8:30a.m. after reports of someone with a gun in the building.
Minneapolis Police spokesperson John Elder says the middle school was placed on Code Red due to an incident and one person was taken into custody.
A spokesperson for Minneapolis schools says a student brought a BB gun and it was recovered on scene. The lockdown lasted about 30 minutes.
