MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - There have been 17 robberies that targeted Latino victims this month in south Minneapolis, according to a 3rd Precinct crime alert. More than half of the robberies occurred near the victims’ homes, when they were either leaving or coming home.
Of the 17 robberies reported since Oct. 1, only one had more than one victim and 16 of the victims were men. A weapon was seen in most of the reported cases, and 2 victims who resisted or fought back were injured.
Suspect descriptions are limited at this time, and vary from case-to-case. These robberies are currently under investigation and the 3rd Precinct has added patrols in the area.
