NORTH MANKATO, Minn. (KMSP) - Three suspects have been arrested in a juvenile-based prostitution sting in North Mankato.
Officials posed as juveniles on the internet where the suspects agreed to trade sex for money. The three suspects have not yet been formally charged.
Since Nov. 2014, 55 people have been arrested for prostitution-related arrests in Nicollet, Brown and Blue Earth counties in southern Minnesota.
“This problem is a statewide issue and we are attempting to address it in our local communities,” Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Marc Chadderdon said in a news release. “We are continuing to try to get the message out that Minnesota girls are not for sale in southern Minnesota.”
