MINNETONKA, Minn. (KMSP) - On Tuesday afternoon a SWAT Team raided a home along Lake Minnetonka as part of prostitution investigation.
The couple that lived in the home are under arrest in the Washington County Jail on multiple prostitution charges.
The house is located on McKenzie Point Road in Minnetonka, Minnesota and looks out on Wayzata Bay. It is modest by comparison to other homes in one of the state's wealthiest zip codes.
After a SWAT team raided the home on Tuesday afternoon, a 29-year-old man was arrested along with a 25-year-old woman. A child was taken into protective custody.
Investigators seized computers, ledgers and other documents, and the tentacles of the operation went throughout the metro, and possibly out of state.
In fact, the case is apparently being handled out of Washington County, where the two suspects are being held. A Hennepin County sheriff's office spokesperson said they were unaware of the raid.
The 29-year-old man has a long rap sheet for armed robbery, and four years ago, he was one of 150 people arrested nationwide in a massive FBI sweep that focused on pimps. But, from what Fox 9 investigators have been told, he was never charged with a crime in that case.
