Lynx ready for 2017 season, changes and all

- When the Minnesota Lynx open their season Sunday against the Chicago Sky they'll be playing a home game--but at a new arena.

They're moving to the Xcel Energy Center this year, but that's not the only change for the team, which advanced to the WNBA finals in 2016. They'll be without longtime assistant Jim Peterson, whose legacy team officials say is invoked almost daily.

Fans can also see all of the Lynx's home games on TV--and 5 away games--marking an all-time high for the team.

In their two preseason games they outscored their opponents by a combined 61 points, and are on many analysts' lists to again be in contention for the title.
