MPD: Assistant Chief Arneson retires after 32 years

After 32 years of service, Assistant Chief of Police Kris Arneson retired from the Minneapolis Police Department on Saturday.

In a Facebook post, the MPD posted pictures from Arneson's retirement party.

"We say goodbye to a trusted leader, colleague and friend whose distinguished services has been recognized locally and nationally," the post said.

Arneson was known for being a strong advocate for both officers and crime victims, especially survivors of domestic violence.
