More charges for alleged killer of elderly man in Anoka

- More charges have been added in the case of a 95-year-old Anoka man who was robbed and murdered last November, with a grand jury indictment unsealed in court Tuesday.

Isaiah Montrell Thomas was originally charged with second-degree murder in December after allegedly killing Al Lohlein, and is now facing two more counts of first-degree murder.

“The first-degree murder indictment reflects the horrible loss of life suffered by Mr. Loehlein in this
case,” Anoka County Attorney Tony Palumbo said.

Thomas' next hearing is scheduled for Aug. 29.
