Surprised and honored, Harris stopped to talk to Fox 9 about what keeps him more active in the local music scene than ever before.
"I like to be vicarious and whenever I get a chance to get out in front of folks and act a fool I just come on out and do it," he said. "It's working out. People say 'oh there's that Cornbread' and 'oh hello Cornbread so glad to see you.'"
They won't tel him why, though.
"Oh they won't tell me, but just that they're glad to see me is the most important part. And I'm glad to see them, too," Harris smiled.
Cornbread plays several weekly and monthly gigs, including the Loring Pasta Bar in Dinkytown every Friday, at Arnella's every third Thursday and Hell's Kitchen every second Saturday. He also teaches private piano lessons.
