BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (KMSP) - An eight-year-old boy broke his ankle when a pickup truck hit him while he was headed to a Halloween event, according to Brooklyn Park police.
According to police, at 6:46 p.m., the boy was with his mother preparing to cross the street, when he ran out in front and got hit by the pickup in the 7200 block of Zane Avenue N.
Emergency crews took the boy to the hospital, where he received treatment for a broken ankle.
The boy's mother described the car as a "red, short-bodied car, possibly having 4 doors. She believed it was driven by a light to medium skinned-toned female, which she described as possibly Hispanic, but wasn't positive," according to police.
