MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - Minneapolis police are investigating a domestic homicide in a south Minneapolis apartment building, near Lake Nokomis. Police confirmed three people are dead and one person was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center in critical condition.
Police said 2 of the 3 people found dead in the apartment are younger teenagers. The third deceased person is a man and the person taken to HCMC is a woman.
Police were called to the apartment on the 5400 block of 34th Avenue S. at 7:10 a.m. Friday. Investigators are not looking for any suspects and police said there is no danger to the public.
The crime scene involved two apartment units, but the victims were all found in one apartment. The relationship between the four people is unclear at this point.
This is the first murder in the Wenonah neighborhood since December 2012.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office will release the identities and the exact cause of death.
Police canvassed the building Saturday to spread awareness of domestic abuse prevention.
