EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (FOX 9) - Two Minnesota women were arrested on Interstate 94 in western Wisconsin Sunday evening after state troopers discovered methamphetamine in the vehicle with a four-year-old child.
At 10:12 p.m., Wisconsin State Patrol troopers stopped a vehicle on westbound I-94 in Eau Claire County for a traffic violation. A state patrol K-9 alerted troopers to possible drugs in the vehicle.
Upon searching the vehicle, troopers discovered a large duffel bag with approximately 7.5 kilograms of meth.
The two occupants of the vehicle, a 35-year-old woman from Ogema, Minnesota and a 39-year-old woman from Minneapolis were arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. They were booked into the Eau Claire County Jail.
A four-year-old child was also in the vehicle and was released to the custody of Eau Claire Human Services.
