2 cats lost in Roseville, Minn. apartment fire

Two people woke up to a fire in the bedroom of their Roseville, Minn. apartment early Monday morning, forcing an evacuation of the smoke-filled building. No residents were injured, but two family cats were found dead in the apartment where the fire started.

The fire happened on the 2200 block of Lexington Avenue just before 3:30 a.m. Crews remained on scene until approximately 5:35 a.m. for investigation and cleanup.

The cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious. Damage is estimated to be $80,000.
