2 boxers jump fence, killing small dog out for walk in St. Joseph, Minn.

ST. JOSEPH TOWNSHIP, Minn. (AP) -- A woman is recovering from severe injuries inflicted in a dog attack that killed her small pet in Stearns County. Sheriff's officials say the woman was walking her small dog along a road in St. Joseph Township Monday afternoon when two boxers jumped a fence and attacked her dog, killing it.

Authorities say she tried to pick up her dog, but the boxers began attacking her. She suffered severe injuries to her legs. She also has puncture wounds and cuts to her face, head, arms, hands and back. The woman was rushed to St. Cloud Hospital.

Sheriff's deputies have seized and quarantined the boxers.
