The body was found about 2.5 miles downstream from the campsite and officials confirmed the 6-day search for Zwart is now over. The Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office will release the identity and official cause of death.
Friends, family and loved ones came together for a vigil at American Legion Park on Monday night, praying for her safe return and requesting attendees wear purple, her favorite color. Community members were asked to leave their porch lights on until she came home. Now, they're asked to do the same thing until Zwart is laid to rest.
Investigators said the pair set up camp on a sandbar, and while her friend made it back home, Zwart was nowhere to be found. She was first reported missing just after 6 a.m. on Friday. They believe both women had been drinking, but don't suspect any foul play.
