(KMSP) - Perry Tetreault, Miles Tyler and Aaron Stets are lifelong friends and recent graduates of St. Olaf College. They celebrated the milestone with a canoe trip all the way down the Mississippi River.
With a borrowed 17-foot canoe, some camping gear and a map, they were on their way. They started at the Cannon River in their hometown of Northfield eventually meeting up with the mighty Mississippi.
In good weather and swift current, the adventurers spent 12 to 13 hours of paddling a day. They spent the next 42 days with sights and sounds around every turn.
They also learned 1900 miles of a river doesn't just connect cities - it connects people. For the three friends, it was a trip of a lifetime full of memories they’ll never forget.
