Crime Stoppers of Minnesota is now offering a $7,500 reward for information in the homicide death of a 90-year-old Carver County farmer. Earl Olander lived alone in San Francisco Township and was found dead with his hands bound in April. His family says he had no enemies and would do anything for them. He still worked at his 320-acre farm, bailing hay to sell in Belle Plaine once a week.More - Family remembers slain farmer as selfless, humble
Police said there were no signs of a break-in at Olander's rural home on the family farm, but his doors were likely unlocked. His family thought perhaps he had been targeted for his money, but sheriff's deputies are still taking tips from various sources.
"This investigation is a top priority and we're going to need additional information from the public to solve this case," sheriff Jim Olson said.
