At least 1,800 people have died in Nepal after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake and officials say the death toll is likely to rise. The earthquake also triggered a landslide at Mt. Everest and dozens of aftershocks. The U.S. government is sending a disaster response team and has pledged $1 million in aid.
The Association of Nepalis in Minnesota has set up a link on their website for donations that will be sent to the Red Cross and other relief efforts to help the victims. For more information, or to donate, click here: Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund
