Dunkin' Donuts announced today plans for 10 new restaurants to be built in Minneapolis and surrounding suburbs. The first location is planned to open "by the end of this year."
The surrounding Minneapolis suburbs include Bloomington, Edina, Eden Prairie, and communities west of the Metro area.
Dunkin' Donuts announced the signing of the multi-unit store development agreement with new franchise group, Legacy Concepts. The team will manage and oversee the construction and operations for each Dunkin' Donuts restaurant.
"We are excited to expand the brand's presence in Minnesota and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here," Damon Dranchak, Vice President and General Manager for Legacy Concepts, LLC, said. "We have a passion and loyalty for the Dunkin' Donuts brand and look forward to opening our restaurants in the years to come."
After a nearly 10-year hiatus from Minnesota, Dunkin' Donuts opened at the Kahler Grand Hotel in downtown Rochester last summer. Weeks after, another franchisee revealed plans to build Dunkin' outlets in northern Minnesota as well.
"We are thrilled these new franchisees have joined the Minnesota market, and know these new restaurants they are developing will satisfy a growing consumer demand in the Minneapolis community," Grant Benson, CFE, vice president of global franchising and business development of Dunkin' Brands, said.
