15-year-old boy survives near drowning in Mendota Heights

- A 15-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after nearly drowning in Mendota Heights, according to Sgt. Petersen with Mendota Heights.

Around 4:30 p.m. police responded to a possible drowning at a private residence on Beebe Avenue in Mendota Heights.

When they arrived, the teen was receiving CPR.

The teen was taken to St. Paul Children’s Hospital.

He was breathing when he was being transported to the hospital. Family members did not want to comment, but said the teen will be fine.

The incident is still under investigation.
