MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KMSP) - The funeral was held today for the 2-year-old killed in the crossfire of a Minneapolis shooting.
Le’Vonte King Jason Jones was killed when the minivan he was riding in was hit by gunfire. He was hit in his chest.
It happened on July 8 at the intersection of Penn Avenue North and Lowry Avenue North around 11:30 a.m. Le'Vonte's 15-month-old sister, Melia Jones was also in the minivan at the time of the shooting, she suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
Funeral services were held at Bethel Christian Fellowship in St. Paul.
Police are still looking for the person who fired shots at the minivan.
