Suspect sketch in shooting of 4 at Webster Township party

- The Rice County Sheriff and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension have released a sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of 4 people at a party in Webster Township, Minn. last Saturday, June 11.

The suspect is described as being 5’7 to 5’8 with medium to dark skin, a slender build, about 150 lbs and in his early to mid-20s.  If you recognize the person in this sketch, or have any information that would assist with this investigation, call the Rice County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division at 507-334-4391.  A reward of $2,500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

The identities of the three victims that suffered gunshot wounds at the party at 4870 Elmore Avenue are:

Heather Nery, 23, of Rochester, Minn.
Anthony Shannon, 26, Robbinsdale, Minn.
Montez Brown, 24, of Minneapolis

A fourth victim with a gunshot wound to his lower torso later checked himself into a Burnsville, Minn. hospital. He was transferred to Regions Hospital in St. Paul for further treatment.  The fourth victim has been identified as Henry Brown, 45, of Brooklyn Park, Minn.  All 4 victims are reported to be in stable condition.

Investigators recovered 20 shell casings and identified 3 vehicles connected to the shooting.

According to witnesses, there was a party with a number of young adults.  A physical altercation occurred shortly before gunshots were fired. Deputies found Heather Nery inside the home with a gunshot wound to the torso. Deputies then found Anthony Shannon and Montez Brown in a car nearby, with gunshot wounds to their legs.

“Innocent people were put in harm’s way by the actions of some in attendance at this gathering,” the Rice County Sheriff Troy Dunn said in a statement. “Our investigators are actively following up on information learned up to this point. The sheriff’s office is again requesting the assistance from attendees of the gathering or anyone from the general public that has information to assist us in our investigation, including anyone with audio or video evidence of the altercation or shooting. “
