HOLLY SPRINGS, NC - When all your friends are dressed up as princesses, why not do something different? A North Carolina girl took that approach and has fast become a recent internet sensation after showing up as a hot dog for "princess week" at her dance school.
The photo that has gone viral shows 5-year-old Ainsley as a lone hot dog standing among a crew of princesses.
Her father says that it was all her idea.
Her dare to be different attitude is garnering attention far and wide.
People are reacting by expressing their admiration for the girl who chose to break the princess mold.

The Holly Springs School of Dance put out a tweet with Ainsley in her costume and the message, "Always be yourself."

As for all of the attention Ainsley is receiving, in a tweet her dad joked, "No parent is ready to learn that their daughter is trending," and he tagged the tweet #hotdogprincess.
