Twins pitching coach Neil Allen arrested for possible DWI

- The Minnesota Twins have suspended pitching coach Neil Allen after he was arrested Thursday morning on the suspicion that he was driving while intoxicated.  

Allen was arrested around 3:48 a.m. near 6th Street S and Park Avenue in Minneapolis, according to the Hennepin County sheriff's office. He was released from custody on a pending DWI charge.

The Twins have suspended Allen, with pay, indefinitely, according to a statement. Minor league pitching coordinator Eric Rasmussen will step in as the interim pitching coach for the time being. 

Twins statement

"The Minnesota Twins are aware of the pending DWI charge against Pitching Coach Neil Allen. Mr. Allen has been suspended, with pay, indefinitely and the matter will be handled in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Minnesota Twins Baseball Club."
