3 delivery robberies at same St. Paul address over weekend

On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, three different delivery drivers were the victims of robberies at the same St. Paul address on the 800 block of Marion Ave.

That news raised questions about why St. Paul police didn't issue a crime alert that might've prevented a China One driver from having a gun pulled on him before he was robbed of food last night. (The driver told the suspects he didn't have any cash on him at the time.)

According to St. Paul PD spokesman Steve Linders, police didn't have enough information to connect the dots between the incidents until last night, as the Pizza Hut driver who was robbed Saturday night was knocked unconscious during the robbery and "couldn't remember going to work" that day.

"He was in the hospital when our officer met with him," Linders says. "The amount of info we got from the victim was very limited."

The other two victims, however, remembered what happened and where more clearly. So after last night's incident, authorities were able to recognize the connection between the address and the three robberies.

Linders adds that at this point, police have no reason to believe the delivery driver robberies are connected to any other robberies in the area.

Earlier today, St. Paul PD spokesman Paul Paulos told us police are looking for three teenage suspects, but said no descriptions are available at this time.
