MENOMONIE, Wis. (KMSP) - Menomonie Police are investigating the death of a 22-year-old UW-Stout student from Shakopee.
Police say Rickey Alan Hible was found dead around 7 a.m. off-campus in a driveway near Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
When police found the 22-year-old he had visible laceration wounds on his body.
Police believe the cuts came from broken glass around a sign found nearby at Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
UW-Stout Chancellor Bob Meyer released a statement:
"We regret to inform the campus that Rickey Alan Hible, 22, of Shakopee, Minn., was found deceased this morning off campus. The death is under investigation by local police agencies, but with current information there does not appear to be any ongoing danger to the community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Rickey's family and friends. Rickey was a sophomore majoring in engineering technology with a mechanical design minor. We will keep the campus informed of further details as they become available."
An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday at the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
