(KMSP) - Just what are Danny Heinrich's lawyers afraid of? The answer is found in this stack of a dozen newly filed motions in his child porn case.

Heinrich's lawyers don't want jurors to know he told investigators searching his home he was a "dirty old man" or "addicted" to porn. They don't want jurors to know investigators found "19 three-inch binders" of child porn, a computer with child porn, or any other evidence found in the search.
Heinrich's lawyers argue there was no probable cause for the search that led to the evidence, and that his arrest was illegal, making the evidence inadmissible.
“The evidence in this case, based on the search warrant, and Mr. Heinrich's supposed statements are going to be used against him. The strongest evidence you can use against any defendant is what's found on them or their property, or in their words,” criminal defense attorney Joe Tamburino said.
Tamburino is not involved in this case, but believes Heinrich's team will have a hard time keeping the evidence out. Heinrich also wants a judge to throw out the DNA swab that links him to the 1989 sexual assault of Jared Scheierl. The statute of limitations bars prosecutors from charging Heinrich in that abduction and assault.
