ORLANDO, Fla (WOFL FOX 35) - Great news to report Thursday morning: The Orlando mom who went to great lengths to find the missing teddy bear for her heartbroken daughter relayed to Fox35 that the bear has been found and reunited with her little girl.
It all began on May 1st when Kane Norton says her daughter Tallulah left "Tubby Bear" at Langford Park in downtown Orlando. Norton hung flyers and contacted the local media to help assist her in her quest to find the missing bear. Norton and her daughter even appeared on Good Day Orlando Wednesday morning.
In an email written to Fox35 Norton expresses her gratitude to the station and explains what ultimately happened:
"THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Tubby Bear found his way home late yesterday thanks to Fox35's incredible kindness in airing a story about his loss.
Rebecca, whose daughter Lorelei and her friend Parker (7 year old girls) who had been on a playdate at Langford Park, saw the story and knew that the girls had picked up Tubby Bear and his bear friend (who was also lost!). Each girl had taken home one of the bears. Rebecca tracked down both bears, gave Tubby Bear a bath and returned them to us safely last night.
My husband made sure Lorelei and Parker got the reward offered as well as a little extra, each girl got a new bear of their own to take home. Rebecca and I talked about getting all the girls together for a playdate, so not only did we get Tubby Bear back, but I think my daughter has made some new friends.
Thank you to everyone at Fox so much for your kindness, it may be a while before my daughter is able to understand what a big impact you had on this happy ending but my husband and I certainly know and are extremely appreciative! Kane."
