RECIPE: BBQ snack mix

Preheat oven to 300 degrees

1 stick unsalted butter

1 c. BBQ of your choice

2 tbsp. sugar

2 tsp. smoked paprika

2 tsp. chili powder

2 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Melt butter in a sauce pan, and then add the remaining ingredients stirring until they come together - set aside

In a large bowl mix together

3 oz. blue corn chips - broken into pieces (see note below)

6 c. popped popcorn

2 c. cheddar fish crackers

1 package corn nuts

Pour BBQ sauce over mixture and gently stir to combine.  Spread out onto a large baking sheet and place into the oven.  Bake for a total of 50 minutes, stirring every ten minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to completely cool.  Mixture will seem soft, not to worry - it will crisp as it cools.  Break apart, serve and enjoy.  If there are left overs, and it has become soft - you can easily pop back into the oven for 20 minutes, allow to cool again again and you are good to go!

NOTE:  I used blue corn tortilla chips as they are more substantial that regular corn tortilla chips.  If you prefer a chip that is thicker, by all means use that.
