(KMSP) - Despite the "news" article circulating on social media, Justin Bieber is not purchasing a home on Lake Minnetonka. Is it too late now to say sorry?
The article was published on a website called MBY News, which actually identifies itself as a fantasy news site, but caused local uproar and riled up a few teenage girls on Monday night.
The article reads, in part:
"In a surprise to everyone in Los Angeles and certainly everyone in the Minneapolis/St Paul area, pop superstar Justin Bieber announced today in an interview that he was looking to buy a house on Lake Minnetonka and would be moving there soon. 'I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while. I love the idea of having a house on a lake and the scenery at Lake Minnetonka is just so beautiful.'"
"Justin immediately fell in love with the relaxed lifestyle of the lake community and the lake’s tranquil beauty and was telling everyone that he was going to move there."
However, on MBY News' contact page it reads:
MBY News is a fantasy news site. All news articles on mbynews.com are satire or pure fantasy.

If Justin Bieber is actually moving to Lake Minnetonka then you need to start telling kids to stop playing in the streets— Teddy Heil (@teds_13) March 8, 2016
