Suspect arrested out-of-state, wanted in April 11 Minneapolis homicide

Minneapolis police said a homicide suspect sought in the April 11 death of a 21-year-old woman was arrested out-of-state on Saturday, though police didn't say where exactly.

On April 19, police reported the Hennepin County Attorney's Office had issued a murder warrant for the arrest of 17-year-old Ahmed Abdirahim Abdi. Police believed someone had been hiding him. He is currently in police custody.

On the afternoon of April 11, police responding to a report of shots fired found Ayan Abdulahi dead in a residence on the 2400-block of Portland Avenue South.
