St. Paul woman killed in head-on crash on I-94 at 280

The Minnesota State Patrol confirmed St. Paul woman who crossed the median on I-94 at Highway 280 in St. Paul was killed in a head-on crash right before rush hour on Monday.

The crash happened just after 3 p.m. on I-94 eastbound, which was shut down at I-35W and Huron Boulevard during rush hour creating bumper-to-bumper traffic. All lanes of the freeway had reopened by 7 p.m.

State Patrol said a Honda CRV driven by 63-year-old Mee Vue of St. Paul was travelling west on I-94 and crossed the grass median "for an unknown reason." Vue went into eastbound traffic and hit a Ford pickup driven by 34-year-old Justin Honken, also of St. Paul. Vue was killed in the crash while Honken sustained non-life threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. Police have not released any more details at this time.
