Snow cover continues to dwindle in Minnesota

Even though temperatures will be cooling over the weekend, very little snow is in the forecast for the next several days leaving many to wonder if we will ever get a big storm this season. Season snowfall is well below average in many locations with bare ground now leading snow covered areas statewide. In fact, on Thursday afternoon less than half of the state had snow on the ground with just a sliver of the Arrowhead actually having a "normal" amount of snow for the end of January.
