Roseville bank robbery suspect stole getaway car from Pizza Hut

Roseville police are searching for a robbery suspect at Bremer Bank who allegedly stole his getaway car from a Pizza Hut delivery person in Sioux Falls.

Police were called to the bank at 1715 West County Road B2 on Saturday at 9:40 a.m. after the suspect had entered the bank, handed a teller a handwritten robbery note demanding money and implied he had a gun. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money, and he carried it into the parking lot and fled west on American Street in a 2000 silver Pontiac Grand AM.

Police found the car minutes later abandoned in Rosedale Commons, which had been stolen from a Pizza Hut delivery person in Sioux Falls at 10:50 p.m. the day before the robbery, police said. The car’s owner said he left it running while he ran inside to pick up a delivery order, and the car was gone when he returned to the parking lot.

Police said the suspect later stole license plates from a vehicle on display at Furlong Motors located in Faribault, then stole fuel at Super America in Lakeville at 3 a.m. on Saturday.

The suspect is described as a thin, white man, 5-foot-10 in height with short brown hair, “wearing a black baseball cap with white stitching/vent holes and possible Pizza Hut logo above the hat’s bill, black long sleeve tee shirt with logo above left breast and a large flattened diamond logo on the rear, khaki cargo shorts, white socks and white tennis shoes.’
