Pampering yourself doesn't have to cost a fortune, or take all day. The simplest things can be the greatest luxuries. Mpls.St.Paul Magazine style editor Allison Kaplan showed us how to prepare the ultimate bath.

Robe: New styles are warm and cozy without making you look like a marshmallow

Slippers: Shearling lined for warmth, but slim and elegant

Bubbles: A pretty bottle, an Italian brand, or try a bath bomb

Brushes: Swedish, hand-made, with natural fibers

Towels: Indulge in Japanese towels, 100% cotton and super absorbent, better with use

Basket: Towels this lovely should be displayed, in a pretty basket made of natural fibers

Lounge wear: Sweats get a major upgrade in cashmere
