Pracna on Main, 'oldest restaurant in Minneapolis,' closes, but not for long

The oldest restaurant in Minneapolis closed its doors abruptly on Wednesday, but that doesn't mean it's gone forever.

Pracna on Main, which opened in the late 19th century, had a sign up on the door Wednesday that simply said, "Pracna on Main is closed" and their website, Facebook and Twitter accounts have all disappeared.

Positioned next to the St. Anthony Main Theater on Main Street SE, the owner of the building and theater John Rimarcik told the Star Tribune they plan to make Pracna a more integral part of the theater, and it could re-open come springtime.
