Mayweather-Pacquiao viewing party turns to neighbor fight in Brooklyn Park

Two Brooklyn Park, Minn. residents having a viewing party the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao match wound up in a fight of their own with an intoxicated neighbor and a revolver.

According to a criminal complaint, the homeowners on the 8200 block of Scott Avenue invited family and friends over to watch the boxing match, and earlier that evening, their neighbor, Kurt James Schneider, 54, called police to report a loud party. Police reported to the house and determined there wasn't a loud party at all.

After midnight, one of the homeowners and her brother were inside her garage when they saw Schneider in his yard yelling, "I'll blow your head off," charges say. She was worried Schneider may actually do something to harm them after noticing someone had apparently placed large tree branches behind her guest's car tires.

Schneider yelled, "You're such a tough guy, I'll kick your a--," the complaint says. The homeowner said Schneider was pointing some type of revolver with a long barrel at them, which was later recovered by police in Schneider's home, where he lives with his mother.

Police took Schneider into custody. He admitted to having a few beers and some mixed drinks before officers arrived. He denied pointing the gun, but said he had a ratchet in his hand, suggesting someone may have mistaken that for a gun. Schneider has been charged with two counts of felony terroristic threats.
