Longtime WCCO weatherman Bud Kraehling passed away Wednesday night from cancer. He was 96.
Kraehling reported the weather for 47 years on WCCO. He never actually earned a degree in meteorology, but he delivered a dependable forecast to Minnesota families for nearly 5 decades. After retiring in 1996, Kraehling worked as a Minnesota History Center greeter.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Natalie, and survived by his 4 daughters and second wife, Shirley Lockwood.
