Joel Eriksson and Mike Reilly to join Minnesota Wild

After a heartbreaking finish in the playoffs, the Minnesota Wild are looking to turn their luck around next season, starting with their draft pick and one Minnesota native.

With the 20th pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, the Wild chose 18 year- old Joel Eriksson, who spent his seasons in Sweden's juniors league.  Eriksson made an impression in the World Junior Championship where he scored 5 goals in five games. Eriksson will join a group of young centre's Mikael Grandlund, Jordan Schroeder, Erik Haula and Charlie Coyle in the Wild system.

And former Gophers defenseman and Minnesota native Mike Reilly is expected to sign with the Wild. Reilly was drafted in 2011 by the Columbus Blue Jackets, but opted-out to become a free agent this season. Reilly will reportedly sign a 2-year $1.85 million deal.
