A Minneapolis 22-year-old pleaded guilty to assaulting two women in downtown's Ramp C near Target Field this fall.
Peijan Hodges will be sentenced March 2, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman announced Monday. He pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal sexual conduct and attempted first-degree criminal sexual conduct and is expected to receive a sentence of 15 years in prison.
Ramp C assaults
The Oct. 7 assaults in Ramp C happened after the suspect asked the victim for a dollar, but she refused. Around 2 p.m., the suspect apparently grabbed a woman's hand and forced her between two cars, then ran away after another person exited the elevator.
Less than 3 hours later, a second woman told police she was forced into the back seat of her car and assaulted. The suspect fled the area and was chased by several bystanders who lost track of him near Pizza Luce.
Arrest 2 days later
Minneapolis police arrested Hodges two days after the assaults.
Police had handed out digital images of the suspect, and made an arrest Oct. 9 around 9 a.m. near 4th Street and Nicollet Avenue. He was apparently wearing the same clothes described by the victims who had been attacked two days earlier.
