Delta glitch adds headaches to snow-stressed flight grid

A major winter storm system that buried Chicago in snow has moved on to Boston and New York, putting more stress on the nationwide flight grid. More than 6,000 flights have been canceled in the past 48 hours due to weather, and a Delta Air Lines computer problem added even more headaches Monday.

Delta statement

"We are aware of an issue causing slow responses times to some customer service systems including, mobile apps and at airports. Our technical teams are working on the issue and we are committed to a quick resolution to minimize any impact on our customers. We apologize for any inconvenience."

Delays at MSP Airport

Winter weather and the Delta technical glitch have led to delays at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Travelers should check with their airline for an updated flight status.
