Miguel Sano was called up to the big leagues on Thursday, where he made his first appearance against the Kansas City Royals. The Minnesota Twins new third baseman got his first major league hit Thursday night, as the Twins beat the Royals 2-0.
“I was very nervous last night, first time in the big leagues. It is really exciting.” Said Sano.
As the Twins remain only three and a half games back to the Royals, fans hope that the list of new talent can bring some rejuvenation to the team.
Sano who is from the Dominican Republic, is rated the 11th best prospect overall.
