The Oak Park Heights Police Department is investigating what they are calling a "suspicious death" on Tuesday after they couldn't locate the individual during a welfare check on Sunday.
On Sunday, officers responded to a family request for a welfare check at a multi-unit town home development on the 14600 block of 62nd Street. Family members were not able to reach the individual, and officers couldn't find this person either, so they initiated a missing person investigation.
Early Tuesday morning, officers returned to the residence and found the individual's body.
The Oak Park Heights Police Department is investigating the death with assistance from Bureau of Criminal Apprehension agents and crime scene personnel, and the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
The individual's body has been taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy and formal identification.
