1 arrested for reckless discharge of firearm in Maple Grove

A 29-year-old man was shot in the abdomen in Maple Grove, Minn. early Sunday morning, and a 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

At about 2:05 a.m., police were called to the 17000 block of 89th Place North on a report of a shooting. Police found the victim in the basement and arrested the other man at the scene, first-degree assault and reckless discharge of a firearm charges pending. The victim underwent surgery "with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries," police said.
