KMSP-TV is excited to announce the return of a familiar face to television news in the Twin Cities. Amy Hockert is joining FOX 9 as a special projects reporter and anchor.
"I'm so impressed with the way FOX 9 balances tradition and innovation," Hockert said. "The producers, reporters and anchors are legacy players who understand, inherently, what's important to Minnesotans. At the same time, they're bobbing and weaving with the ever-changing way people consume news. I have so much respect for this team's innovative approach to quality news delivery and I'm excited to join the team."
Amy previously served as weekend anchor/reporter for KARE 11 in the Twin Cities, following stints in North Dakota and Raleigh, N.C. In 2009, she joined the local news website and radio broadcast network BringMeTheNews as chief content officer.
Amy lives in Eden Prairie with her husband Christopher and two children, Elise and Christian. She loves traveling with her family, playing tennis and enjoying her mom's cooking.
Amy Hockert's first day at FOX 9 will be Feb. 9
