Meteorologist Steve Frazier came to the Twin Cities in May of 2010 to work at another local station and began working in the FOX 9 weather center in April 2011. Steve comes from the small town of Walls, Mississippi and feels blessed to be in such a wonderful state as Minnesota. Steve is happy to have four distinct seasons, and will take the cold and snow of winter to the heat and humidity of summer any day.
Steve earned his BA in Journalism from The University of Alaska Fairbanks, and earned his AMS seal by completing the Broadcast Meteorology Program at Mississippi State.
It all started for Steve when he did the morning news cut-ins at KATN ABC 2 in Fairbanks, AK while attending The University of Alaska. Since those frigid early days, Steve has worked at KXMB / Bismarck. Steve was also the morning meteorologist at in Boise, Idaho and Green Bay, Wisconsin. After a year off from TV to study Italian in Rome, Italy, Steve moved to the Twin Cities to work for KSTP.
Before his career in TV, Steve worked as a tour guide at Graceland in Memphis, TN and even a blackjack and craps dealer at the Mississippi Casinos.
